The conference is based on the principles of the Neurodiversity Support Initiative advocated by Northeastern University College of Engineering. This is a kickoff in person conference as a precursor to the development of a “Northeastern Regional Higher Education Neurodiversity Coalition” (NEHENC) through which higher education scholars and practitioners can gather as a community to explore and share best practices on how to improve educational and professional outcomes for neurodivergent students. The conference will allow participants to receive training and gain an understanding of neurodiversity, before delving into specific sessions.

Testimonials:
” Wonderful conference! I learned so much and feel more empathetic and eager to incorporate strategies. I think the affordable cost was commendable.”
” Loved! I asked for a green and yellow communication badges. Try offering everyone all three. The level can change throughout the day. I went yellow for awhile when I felt a migraine threatening in between deciding to use the sensory room. It helped. I am so much less exhausted and stressed than any other conference I’ve ever been to! “
“This was great. Going back with so many ideas.”
“Thank you for organizing. This is such a critical topic.”
“I felt it was extremely well-run and the information was well presented. The food was incredible and I completely enjoyed myself. I haven’t been to a professional development in six years and I was so happy to come.”
“I was only able to attend Day 1 but what I was able to attend was amazing, thank you conference team and to NU COE for sponsoring the conference.”
